The game is very difficult I can't even get past the second day and I definitely need a tutorial cuz I can't figure out how to do anything or how to make money it seems like when I sell I get the exact amount I bought the material for and I can't even figure out what to do with the weird triangle piece hanging up with the hammer but the game was very fun I would love to see what it becomes and as soon as it gets a little bit better I'm going to make a video about it because it was very fun gameplay if only I knew what I was doing
Hi! Thanks for playing the demo and providing feedback!
An in-game tutorial is in development so keep an eye out for the next version of Swinghammer!
In the mean-time, I made a text tutorial that you can read and follow along with to learn how to start making money! You can find this in the 'Development Log' section of the game page.
It would mean a lot to see my game being played in a video so do please let me know if you make one!
hi after reading the text tutorial the game became a lot more fun turns out I was not sharpening my weapons long enough and that's why they weren't selling... I would also like to ask would you like me to make a small short tutorial video of how the game is right now or would you prefer I wait a little bit for a few updates before I make like a tutorial video on how to play it
the concept is interesting, but the gameplay is rough. trying to drag the piece of metal is almost impossible unless you zoom in all the way and having 0 tutorial where you could go bankrupt on the 1st day if you made nothing makes the game unfun to play, you have no idea what you did wrong.
I think if you improve the hitbox of the items and give a short tutorial on what to do and what each things does it would help a lot.
also, I don't know if it's just me but the game takes a very long time to load and completely lags out the browser I'm using. I don't know how it performs when downloaded though so it might just my browser and not the game itself.
Hi! Thanks for playing the demo and for your comment, this is exactly the type of feedback I was hoping for!
A tutorial is in the works, I was interested to see how far players got without one! You're also not alone thinking the hitboxes are a bit too small! I plan too improve this too.
The browser freeze after loading is unfortunately expected due to web limitations. WebGL is only single-threaded and there's a bulk operation that runs after loading to prevent gameplay stutter.
I'll keep working on optimising it. Did the performance improve once the game started?
Be sure to revisit Swinghammer in the future to see your feedback taken on-board!

The performance was completely fine after it load, there's no stuttering and I was able to play the game with other things going on in the background, so it's just the initial load. Also I think having the "no tutorial" idea would be better if you have like 2 to 3 day leeway where you could mess up and still continue playing. for my 1st playthrough I only bout 1 unit worth of metal and didn't sell anything which apparently is enough to immediately make you bankrupt at the end of the day.
As for future updates, I would love to give it a try and see how it goes, this physics based game sounds fun and it looks like it can be pretty chill too which is a plus. I look forward to a tutorial that explain what that triangle tool beside the hammer is because I have no clue what it does XD
